Holiday cards

Here are those cards like I promised. The photo quality is crap due to my fear of a dying battery in the camera. Hey, I'm not a photographer so that excuse is valid enough. I printed them out on a cardstock and mounted them using a think double sided foam tape. So far the sushi is my fav. That's all... ssanks!

So darn cute!!

I drew up these critters and then coloured them in photoshop quickly to use on holiday greeting cards. Once I finish all the cards I'll post them up... most likely tomorrow since our show is on Saturday. Yikes!!

New comic, new pages!!

Here are some pages from my first draft of my new book. I've opted against it for reasons still unknown. I'll post the second draft soon. Check out the Comic artwork section for the rest of the story in it's unfinished entirety. I'm not sure about that title though...we'll see. Peace!!

Up and coming show

My beautifully lady friend and I are a part of a art show/sale. We decided to dabble in screen printing, something we had never really done before and the results were awesome!! If you get a chance come check us out.

On my way back home tonight I discovered something wondrous. To my questioning ego I was trying to figure out how to succeed in the comic book world. With all there is to chose from and enjoy what would make my comics stand out from the rest of the amazing books out there. I was struck with the obvious. "Trying" will make my work suck! Trying to be great is self righteous and a defeatous way to go about making art.
"Just be great", i thought. All will come come to those who DO. don't waste time tyring to make the next big thing. Just create and indulge yourself in your art and stories and most of all have fun while doing it. I am my own worst critic and over planning things makes the time and passion for this medium go slower. I love making comics! I love making art and the only thing standing in my way is a fear of greatness.( and maybe no one liking it, but that's something for another day to discuss.)
