mo' stuff
Here's a panel without text from my last book. I don't know what it is about it but i love it. Maybe it's the fact it's from a time and place I felt really comfortable at.
I love the city a lot but getting out into the woods at my folks cottage can feel really refreshing and calm, something we all need from time to time.

Daily routines
In a perfect world my daily routine would be, not too distant than it is right now. I wake, get coffee and have a cigarette on the way to work, which by the way is my own business. I conduct the daily chores of running a business, then I teach kids about cartooning and comic books. After the whistle blows and it's time to go home, My lovely lady friend and I go home feed Snowball my cat and have a delicious, healthy dinner,YUM! Then perhaps we watch a movie and then go to bed. The end? Nope, as I was saying in a perfect world my routine would be a little more different than that. Wake up early, jog for an hour, eat breakfast and have coffee. Then walk that beautiful block to work and have an awesome day! Go home and feed the cat, feed myself and lovely lady friend and then(are you ready?) draw comics and sketch in my journal about the daily events. That's a perfect daily routine... for now at least. I have all these really interesting stories in my head to tell and the only thing stopping me is motivation and a solid routine that respects my urges to draw, draw, draw. I am making a solid promise to any one who reads this that I will produce more work of which I am content and amused with. More work means more happy!
SIDE NOTE
Drawing has to be done every day weather you're content or not with the outcome with the art being produced. Drawing is like pooping, a healthy body needs to do it a least once a day. Not too confuse with a metaphor involving poop and art.
I love comics! Love 'em! And even more so I love to make them and draw them... That's about it actually.
A SIDE, SIDE NOTE
My perfect day would also involve me not smoking. We'll see.
ONE LAST THING!
Stay tuned to this blog for new stories about to burst forth from my head!

TCAF! What a weekend!
JUST A FEW PICTURES OF THE WEEKEND. THE VEIW FROM THE SECOND FLOOR LOOKING DOWN, MY BOOKS(WOO-HOO) AND MYSELF AND FRIEND MATT COLLINS.
TCAF WAS AWSOME AS USUAL, CHRIS AND PETER FROM THE BEGUILING DID SUCH A GREAT JOB OF ORGINIZING AND ROUNDING UP A TON OF INCREDIBLE ARTISTS FOR THE SHOW. THEY ARE IN MY MIND THE BEST COMICS STORE AND COMICS SUPPORTERS I'VE EVER KNOWN. AS FOR MY TABLE, I MET MY EXPECTED QUOTA FOR SALES SO I CAN'T COMPLAIN. I GOT TO SEE SOME OLD FACES AND MET SOME NEW ONES WHICH IS COOL. ON SUNDAY I PICKED UP A SHIT LOAD OF AMAZING BOOKS.
MATTHEW FORSYTHE'S SKETCHBOOK (INCREDIBLE)
ELEANOR DAVIS'S AMAZINGLY HAND CRAFTED BOOKS WERE SO BEAUTIFUL
ZACH WORTON- REALLY AMAZING ARTIST DOING REALLY AMAZING WORK.
JEFF LEMIRE- VERY SOOPER TALENTED WRITER/ARTIST
Chris Kuzma, Marcel Guldemonde, Damien Jay AND Drew Weing
AND MY PICK FOR OUTSTANDING HIDDEN GEM AWARD GOES TO DAVID YODER! WOW WHAT A FUNNY GUY. HONESTLY THIS GUY IS SO FUCKING FUNNY ON SO MANY LEVELS YOU HAVE NO IDEA.
SO MANY MORE TALENTED GALS AND GUYS AT TCAF REALLY MAKE DOING COMICS WORTH WHILE. IT'S EASY TO BECOME DISHEARTENED AFTER A SHOW BECAUSE YOU SEE ALL THIS AWSOME STUFF AND WISH THAT WHAT YOU WERE DOING WAS AS COOL. I LIKE MY WORK, DON'T GET ME WRONG IT'S JUST SOMETIMES I WONDER IF WHAT I'M WRITTING ABOUT IS WHAT I'M SUPOSED TO BE DOING.
OH WELL.
PREVIEW
HERE IS A FOUR PAGE PREVIEW OF PART OF THE BOOK. THIS BOOK, THE LUXURY OF LIVING HAS BEEN A THORN IN MY SIDE FOR TWO YEARS NOW AND EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T COMPLEATED, IT'S DONE AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED. WRITTING ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE CAN BE ENJOYABLE OR EVEN CATHARTIC IF DONE PROPERLLY. IN MY CASE MY STUBORNESS WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO MOVE ON UNTILL I FELT A RELEASE OF SOME ANGER AND/OR SADNESS TOWARDS WHAT WAS BEING TOLD. I'VE RELEASED IT... I THINK AND TO CONTINUE THIS BOOK WOULD BE REDUNDANT IF ONLY FOR RECONITIONAL VALUES OF WHICH THERE IS NONE.
new book out now!!!
